The Rio Grande Valley has been in need of affordable rental facilities for the last several years. This 86-unit, two-story apartment project on an 8.34 acre site addresses that need and leased up almost immediately. The architecture and landscaping reflect some of the flavor of the area, including tile roofing, stone and stucco. The landscaping was accomplished with native and adaptive plant materials that give this south Texas property an appropriate environment, while saving energy with minimal water demands. The central swimming pool, pavilion, playground and barbeque facilities have been well received by the residents. It was completed in 2011 along with its sister property, the three-story Weslaco Hills Apartments.
